WORK EXPERIENCE

Guitarist in Postcard Quintet

We've started this project as student jazz band, that plays jazz standards from Art Blakey, Sonny Rollins, Phineas Newborn Jr. and others. This year we've recorded and released our debut album with original music "Stories" and we will present it in different big international festival such as - "A to Jazz Sofia", "Nisville" Serbia, "Jazz in cave" Romania, etc.

Session musician in different local jazz projects

"Rio from Above Sextet" - Bossa nova project dedicated to the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim and Joao Gilberto.

"Jazzika " - jazz quintet with vocal, playing traditional repertoire from Swing Era.

"Vilizar Gichev trio" - project with my original music.

Also a lot of duets - "Peppy&Vilizar" - with original music in bulgarian language in the style of Bossa nova. "Jazz Night" - with the singer Ralitsa Simeonova "Jazz & Bossa" - guitar and trompet duet

"Marina & Vilizar" - guitar and saxophone duet

Takes part in records with Big Band of National Academy of music in Bulgarian National Radio.

Started a project " Guitar morning in Mahala bookstore", mount event with guitar duets with best jazz guitar players in Sofia such as Miroslav Ivanov, Alexander Logozarov, etc.

Participant in the different jazz festival - "A to Jazz", "Nisville", "The jazz cave", "Jazz under the stars in the Devetaki plateau", "Bansko Jazz Fest", "Jazz fest Kardzhali", "Jazz fest Plovdiv", "Jazz fest Haskovo", "Q-jazz fest Varna";
