For me, programming is a craft that I’ve spent over 20 years mastering. For 15 of those years, I focused on writing code, working with technologies like Java, JavaScript, C#, Golang, and cloud infrastructure. Over time, my role expanded from just building software to helping others grow in their own IT careers.
Recognizing my skills and dedication, I was promoted into a leadership role, where I now see the bigger picture of what people need to succeed—both as developers and as individuals. As a Technical Trainer and Manager at Telerik Academy, I guide junior developers starting their careers while also ensuring my team feels supported and continuously develops. I’ve learned that leadership is not just about getting results but also about building relationships, encouraging growth, and providing the right balance of challenge and support.
Leading a team has taught me a lot. I focus on helping each person develop professionally and personally. I’m proud that, according to recent pulse surveys, 100% of my team feels supported and believes they receive clear, helpful feedback. This is one of my biggest achievements as a leader and motivates me to keep improving.
I’m now looking to further develop my leadership skills, so I can continue helping others succeed while growing as a leader myself.
