Conducting a qualitative academic research about the Danish halfway houses.
Project description:
Reentering society: The role of the Danish halfway houses in reintegration of prisoners (Master Thesis). The major objective of the thesis was to investigate the treatment practices implemented by the Danish halfway houses and to find out whether they contribute to prisoners’ effective reintegration into society. For this purpose I carried out a qualitative research in Lysholmgård and Brøndbyhus halfway houses, with the aim to explore their nature.
Conducting a qualitative research about resocialization of former prisoners
I worked as a researcher on ENTER-2 European Union Funding program for re-socialization of former prisoners. My task was to develop an approach for evaluating the conditions for reintegration and rehabilitation of former prisoners and to support their successful inclusion. The project allowed one of the most marginalized social groups to acquire new knowledge and skills through practice for lifelong learning. That enhanced their opportunities for professional development on the real market.

Brødbank project,Department of Modern Danish History (DNT)
I worked on the Brødbank project that was aimed at stimulating creative research of Nordic bread as part of Nordic food culture and to engage in new ways of communication through digital media. The goal of the research was to come up with stories about bakeries in Nørrebro which could be posted on the blog and further inspire and motivate visitors to share their own stories on the blog. For this purpose my team carried out a qualitative research based on collection of empirical data about bakeries’ everyday practices, people preferences towards bread consumption, image and values portrayed by the bakeries.
